Romeo's Best produces table grapes over 1200 hectares and have one of the longest supply periods in Australia. The company have been working on an Import Replacement Program for many years, and have exclusive rights in Queensland's far north to grow the ARRA Sweeties variety from GRAPA. This is the earliest variety to be harvested in July when there are no other domestic grapes on the market.
We are now at the tail end of the season and Romeo's Best's Executive General Manager Francesca LaSpina said that they have had an amazing season in Sunraysia, "Quality has been great and export demand has driven a firm price domestically. We have had a good growing season with minimal rain.
Romeo's best are currently harvesting at Robinvale, Victoria. "We are picking the Sweet Globe, Honey Pop, Red Globe, Mystic Dream and Crimson seedless varieties, China is the primary export market from Sunraysia."
